CLP Systems is looking for a highly qualified intern to join our team. Our operations team strategically supports our customers and a national sales team in a rapidly growing industry. CLP Systems seeks an intern who can participate and lead in various stages of project management.

The intern should be prepared to work in a team environment and possess high leadership abilities. The intern will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of material management, logistics management, pre-construction management, and beneficial leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage different aspects of pre-construction
• Schedule and manage installation teams
• Manage component material
• Schedule and manage logistics in conjunction with project timelines
• Produce Take-offs from structural plans
• Create Bill of Material lists
• Work with CLP leadership to create/analyze process workflows to increase efficiency with cross-functional divisions
• Assist the estimating team

Requirements

CLP Systems is looking for an undergraduate student in the Birmingham, AL area who is majoring in construction and building science, engineering, or associated field of study. The person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of construction and design experience. AutoCAD, Word, and Excel experience is a bonus and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position. Candidates who possess strong leadership capabilities will be highly considered.
